I am waiting for my police certificate but notice that the numbers are steadily rising at the minute within my NOC code, can I apply without my police certificate or do you think I should wait?
Has anyone applied without them and been asked to supply them or have they had their applications sent back?
Any help is very much appreciated :)
yes, you can go ahead and apply without the PCC if you think you're running out of time.
If you choose to apply without, it is recommended to attach a letter of explanation telling the visa officer why you did not attach the PCC and that you are going to submit it as soon as you receive the PCC ( after receiving the AOR ).
And yes, there have been a lot of applicants who applied without the PCC and submitted the PCC at a later stage.
Hope this helps,
So glad I found your website! Lots of helpful stuff on here.
Question for you:
I'm German as well and requested my birth certificate from Germany. They issued it in German/English/French (Name/Name/Nom) - do you think that's sufficient or do I need to get it translated as well?
Considering that all information is available in German, English and French I don't really see the need. Can you shed some light?
Glad you found my website helpful.
Translations of documents are only required if documents are not in English or French. In case of your birth certificate you're right, you do not need to get this document translated. A simple xerox copy will be enough.
Hope this helped,
Thanks so much for your response! It definitely helped putting my mind at ease. As much as that's possible when going through this... you know what I'm talking about.
I wish you best of luck with your application and continue to follow you on the tracker website.
It's great to see someone putting some effort in to provide so much helpful information in plain English.
You're the man!
I received a email. Request for RCMP certificates on 21 march 2014
Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.
(But i already submitted my and my spouse RCMP certificates with my file. Now i am wondering this was automatic email or the need RCMP certificate again. Please help me if any one received this kind of email. Also i sent email to CPP-OTTAWA regarding this a month ago but i did not receive any response yet)
Hi toby, Could you please advise if I am eligible to apply for PR VISA under CEC with following conditions:
I have 2 Occupations in the last 3 years of time where First one having greater experience Say ( 2 years) which needs IELTS CLB level A score; and Second Occupation (Latest) one with 1 full year of experience needs IELTS level B score and My IELTS scores falls in CLB Level B, but do I eligible to apply under second one that has 1 year experience and CLB Level B score meets? Reason I am asking is, read some where that one needs to meet longest time work experienced occupation ( First one with CLB Level A) instead of the latest one ? Please confirm. your response is much appreciated.
I have applied for PR (CEC category) within Canada and when I had approached for PCC to nearest RCMP, they mentioned that they will provided only when CIC asks for it.
I am worried, by not providing PCC at the time of application will likely delay the processing of my application. As I am back home should I start the process for getting PCC and send CPC-O upfront.
a PCC from Canada is not required under the CEC class, unless asked for by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I would suggest to wait for the RCMP request and then get the fingerprinting done at an accredited institution. More information about the process will be included in the email from CIC and the delay, if you get on it when you get the request, will be kept to a minimum.
Hope this helps,
i am little bit confused, in background check forum, it says status in country, what should i put on that box when i was in summer vacation during my status was in study permit, but i id not go to school in summer.
little bit confused?need help
if you held a valid study permit at that time, you can put 'Student' in that field, since you were legally allowed to study in Canada.
There is additional family form?where i put my name in my native language?there is no space for that.should i copy of the same page one more then i can write my native language information?
please need some help
yes, if the provided space on the form from CIC is too small, attach a blank sheet of paper, with the form title, your name, DoB and UCI at the top and provide the information on that sheet.
Thank you so much..i have to write my name and my family member name only native language right not address or other stuff?
In Canada experience class form there is job title, so my question is,i have worked from february to may as a customer support.but then later i start work as technical job from june 3rd 2013 to june 3rd 2014 my one full experience is done under 2282 noc category, should i mention both job on that forum or just one year technical job under noc catergory?
if both jobs are either skill level A, B or 0 then you can name both jobs on that form. On this form, only name skilled experience. In the background declaration form, you have to name every job you've done in the past 10 years or since the age of 18 ( whichever comes first ).
I'm not sure which form you are talking about. This form ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5669E.pdf ) requires your name in your native language only, not the address or anything else.
Additional family information form.complete all names in english and your native language?what does that mean
First of I would like to thank you for this very informative website. It is comforting to know that despite the fact that we can be in a limbo during the application process, there are a few others who are in the same boat and are sharing their experiences as well. I applied for my PR in September and the CIC office received it on Sep 13th 2014. They charged me sometime in the middle of November and today is January 11, 2015 and I still dont have an AOR. I thought the max was 10 weeks. Should I be alarmed? I have checked their website to see if its posted online but I am not able to log in. I sent an email 3 days ago just to inquire but I dont really know if I can expect to hear a response regarding this concern. What should I do? Thanks Toby!
